Y Fron and Carmel

Brenig Construction have been awarded this £550,000 contract to deliver external refurbishment works to 18 properties in two small hamlets high in the Snowdonia hills above Caernarfon, Gwynedd. Our client is Cartrefi Cymunedol Gwynedd.

The works are to deliver 18 new roofs, windows, and an external wall insulated render system, together with the associated works to maintain plumbing, LPG and oil heating services. All of the external sheds are also to be re-roofed and rendered. The properties are all off-gas, with the majority of them having a solid fuel appliance as the only source of heating.

The properties are located in a very compact cul-de-sac, which requires careful planning and delivery of the work. Our Tenant Liaison Officer is on first-name terms with the residents, as we all work together to ensure we get the access we need to deliver the works. These properties have been poorly maintained over the years, and the residents are so grateful of receiving the work.

Brenig Construction are looking forward to delivering a first-class scheme to a small community that will really benefit from the enhanced thermal performance of their newly refurbished properties.
