We’re pleased to announce that we have recently commenced works on the former Doctors’ Surgery premises known as “Rhoslan” on Pwllycrochan Avenue, Colwyn Bay. Our work will transform this old building into Elmwood – high quality homes in Colwyn Bay.

These works are on behalf of the independent and not-for- profit registered social landlord Cartrefi Conwy – a development which is a part of their 2016-2020 business plan to offer a range of quality, affordable homes to the intermediate rental market.

These apartments and other developments by Cartrefi Conwy are a positive step forward in their ongoing mission to support community regeneration as part of their wider picture of providing affordable housing options across North Wales.  This can only be achieved with excellent properties, and we are delighted to assist with our expertise and community sensitive approach.

We believe that affordable housing is sorely in need in the North Wales area, and that schemes such as these are the way forward for many people who have need of low-cost housing.

Our previous affordable housing development in Llanfairfechan was an astounding success, and we are very proud of the positive contributions to the local community which Penmaenmawr Road facilitated. We are confident that our work on Elmwood will be a similar success, providing much needed, quality homes to many people who cannot meet the cost of open market rents.

Our works at Elmwood will involve extensive refurbishment on the old doctor’s surgery building, as well as the creation of a brand-new extension on the existing grounds. The combination of renovation and extension will facilitate the creation of 14 brand-new one and two bedroom apartments, which will be included in Cartrefi Conwy’s Intermediate Rentals scheme.

We believe that our development of the old Rhoslan Doctor’s Surgery on Pwyllycrochan Avenue in the West End of Colwyn Bay into the Elmwood development has just as much potential to make a difference and provide quality homes to those who would normally struggle to find them.
